We have an amazing opportunity for a Gamification Specialist to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?
The Gamification Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing gamification experiences for Hollywoodbets. The Gamification Specialist is responsible to improve player retention, increase engagement, and enrich the player’s journey through dynamic and rewarding gamification mechanics. This includes Missions, Match-X, loyalty wheels, tournaments, and other mechanics that incentivize frequent and meaningful play. The Gamification Specialist will work closely with internal teams (retention, product marketing, BI, contact centre) to deliver seamless and impactful experiences tailored to player behaviour.

You Bring:
- 2–3 years in digital marketing, gamification, or customer engagement
- Familiarity with gamification platforms, CRM systems, and BI tools
- 2 – 3 Years Operations Admin or Support
- 2 -3 Years Marketing
- Valid driver’s license

What You’ll Do For The Brand:
- Develop and execute the gamification strategy aligned to business goals for retention, engagement, and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the Optimisation Specialist to analyse data and make insight-led changes to mechanics.
- Plan and organise monthly and seasonal gamified campaigns
- Maintain and communicate the gamification calendar across relevant stakeholders
- Support promotional campaigns with gamification layers to boost participation and excitement.
- Track the performance of all gamification activities and recommend improvements based on data.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance and user response trends
- Adjust gamification mechanics based on player activity segments, churn risk, and engagement metrics.
- Work with the Retention and Engagement teams to build campaigns that integrate gamified components
- Collaborate with product marketing, contact centre, and creative teams to ensure gamification is fully supported and visually aligned with campaigns
- Coordinate with marketing, digital, and social media teams to integrate gamification into broader marketing strategies.
- Implement and optimise company gamification tools including Missions, Match-X, loyalty wheel, tournaments, and loyalty map.
- Support and collaborate with customer support and product development teams to ensure seamless implementation and operation of gamification systems.
- Enhance user engagement through personalised and interactive gamification experiences.
- Research and analyse competitor activities in the gamification space.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using gamification tools and technologies.
- Any other related duties that might be required.
