Are you passionate about event logistics and operational excellence? Race Coast KZN is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Operations Coordinator to support our busy events calendar. This role reports to the Events Operations Manager and is central to ensuring seamless event execution and high service standards across all functions.

The Events Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the planning, logistics, and execution of all events, ensuring operational readiness and the highest service standards. This role involves coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, supervising casual staff and contractors, maintaining event documentation, and ensuring venue compliance with health and safety regulations.

The ideal incumbent will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in event management software and digital tools is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of all events.
  • Support event setup, logistics, and breakdown for race days and external functions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, security, maintenance, and cleaning teams.
  • Maintain event documentation and operational checklists.
  • Supervise casual staff and contractors on event days.
  • Ensure venue compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor event inventory and assist the Stock Controller in requisitions.
  • Conduct post-event feedback and support operational reports.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management to support operational needs

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma in Events or Hospitality Management.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in operational event support.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple tasks.

  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of event operations, including standing for extended periods and lifting equipment.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using event management software and digital tools.
  • A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  •  Clear criminal record.
