Race Coast KZN is seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Sales Manager to lead the Sales & Business Development team within the Hospitality & Events Division. This full-time position reports to the Head of Hospitality & Events and plays a key role in achieving the commercial success of our events and hospitality offerings.

The Event Sales Manager will oversee the sales function, driving business growth through effective sales initiatives, client acquisition, and revenue generation across all hospitality and event platforms. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales plans, managing key client relationships, achieving sales targets, and ensuring the delivery of professional proposals and contracts.

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with strong negotiation, client relationship, and presentation skills, and a proven ability to meet sales targets while managing a small team.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement sales plans aligned with divisional objectives.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare and oversee proposals, quotations, and contracts.
  • Work closely with Operations and F&B to ensure cost-effective and seamless event delivery.
  • Represent the venue at networking events and trade expos.
  • Supervise Event Sales Coordinators and ensure professional client service.
  • Track sales performance, pipelines, and conversion rates.
  • Provide market and sales reports to the Head of Hospitality & Events.

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or Business.
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in event or hospitality sales leadership.
  • Strong negotiation, client relationship, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage teams.
  • Experience in market analysis and reporting will be advantageous
  • Proficiency in event management  software will be advantageous

  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management tools.
  • Willingness to represent the company at industry and networking events.
  • Clear criminal record.
